proved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, January 19, 2021

at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING

Mayor Danne Showers called the meeting to order with councilmen Paul Landeraaen, Jon Baker, Scott Fishell and Morgan Lekvold present. Also, in attendance were Fire Chief Wyatt Wilder, City Attorney Ben Fosland, PWD Steve Berreth and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Works Report – PWD Berreth reported:

• Crushing asphalt

• Second garbage truck is repaired and operating

• Back to full staff this week

• Street signs damaged in the last wind storm are being repaired and reinstalled. Also, the City is missing a garbage can and the wind caused damage to a tree one tree in the Blvd. Discussion occurred about trimming trees and bushes that are encroaching into City right of ways – Drafting a public announcement to trim trees/ bushes this spring was discussed. City officials may require the homeowner to clear orremoveanyencroachments overhanging the Blvd. or the crew can trim if needed.
