BASKETBALL - That's a wrap: The Scobey junior high boys' basketball teams concluded their 2020-21 season Saturday, February 6, against the Glasgow Scotties. Coached by Todd Carney and Cale Handran, the eighth-grade Spartans fashioned a fine 9-1 overall record, scoring 455 points (45.5 average) and allowing 274 points defensively (27.4). The eighth graders defeated Circle 36-13, Froid-Lake 42-33, North Country 43-28, Culbertson 44-22, Froid-Lake 42-11 and lost to Plentywood 44-40 in overtime before the new year. In 2021 they defeated Wolf Point 65-17, Malta 53-52 in double overtime, Poplar 51-16 and Glasgow 39-38. The seventh graders posted a 4-2 record, tallying 201 (33.5) points on offense and allowing 162 on defense (27.0). They defeated Culbertson 13-6, Plentywood 36-13...
