Joe Lapke, 58, Dies; Services at St. Philip’s–

Joe Lapke, bachelor farmer, who came to the Flaxville community in 1911 as a homesteader and for the past seven years has been farming for Pete Larsen, died Friday at the Scobey Clinic Hospital. He became ill from dropsy and heart trouble. Services were conducted Monday from the St. Philip’s Church by the Rev. Father H. B. Altmann.

Local veterans joined in paying their last respects to the veteran of World War I.
