Excavation Starts For
New Building On
Main Street–
Maurice Paulson has received the contract for excavation on the lot between Getschel’s and the City Meat Market and work has now started. A new building is to be erected over it by the owners, Casper Brenden and E. T. Peterson. There is speculation by the “sidewalk inspectors” as to what the new building will house.
The owners stated that the structure is a real estate investment and will be leased to any likely renter.
The new structure will be the first new building from the ground up on Main Street since the Gorham Hotel was built nearly twenty years ago.
Gorham Remodeling–
Carmen Bush is continuing with his work of repainting and remodeling at the Gorham Hotel which includes a new interior of wallboard in the lobby.
