Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING

Acting Mayor Paul Landeraaen called the meeting to order with councilmen Seth Axtman, Scott Fishell, and Jon Baker present. Mayor Lekvold was absent. Also, in attendance were Burl Bowler,JohnLeibrand,Marla Gray, City Fire Chief Wyatt Wilder, County Fire Chief Neil Holum, City Attorney Ben Fosland, PWD Steve Berreth and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

OpenBids –ActingMayor Landeraaen opened Solid Waste Shop bids – $75,500 from Thomas Knoth and $50,050fromBruceDighans. Later in the meeting, the Knoth purchase bid was accepted.

Public Comment – Burl Bowler inquired about the request to close the alley behind Brad Lambs property at 702 3rd Ave E – Burl was verifying this closure request did not include the street, 3rd Ave, – the street is not being

considered.

Public Works Report – PWD Steve Berreth reported:

• Two running sweepers dirt shoe on the bottom is bent on the newer sweeper; Snow has postponed spring work plans; Tree cutters are here and will be removing trees designated in the MUCFA Hazard Tree Removal Grant awarded to the city last fall.
