Correction: In the May 26 issue we mentioned that Sam Handy and crew cleaned up the Fairview Cemetery in the Silver Star Community. We were accidentally given wrong information, it was Casey Handy and his farm crew that cleaned up and removed some old fence around the cemetery.
Casey and crew were working near the cemetery and got a flat tire on a piece of equipment. While they were waiting for repairs, they thought “let’s go over and clean that area up a bit” instead of just sitting and waiting. So they did.
While some might say, “That place is a mess why doesn’t someone do something about it?” . . . there are those who see a problem and take action. For that, this community can be thankful. -bb
