Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, August 23, 2022

at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING

Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with councilmen Seth Axtman, Jon Baker and Paul Landeraaen present. Councilman Fishell was absent.

Also, in attendance were City Attorney Ben Fosland, PWDSteveBerrethandClerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Works Report – PWD Steve Berreth reported:

• Estimate for concrete floor for new shop building was quoted at $40,000

• Sewer lagoon is getting pumped down

• RD Warranty Inspection was conducted last week – everything satisfactory

• Councilman Axtman – asked PWD to restate to employees to please slow down while operating the Garbage Truck

Pool Manager Report – PWD Berreth reported the pool is closed for the season, and the crew is doing the year end maintenance. Discussed leaving some water in the pool and putting the cover on.

Mayor Lekvold commented on how well the day-to-day water monitoring went, noting the new water is easier to manage the chemicals.
