Spartan Rosters Set For State C Meet in Missoula

The vote, by way of feet, has been tallied and the Scobey Spartans have their rosters set for the upcoming Montana All-Class State Cross Country Meet.

Thirteen Spartans are set to make the 1,092-mile round trip to the University of Montana golf course in Missoula Sat., October 22.

For the girls, soon-to-be heading southwest will be senior Hayley Hersel, juniors Danielle Cahill, Mia Handran, Leah Ridley and Joy Williams, sophomore Mya Green and freshman Oli Leininger.

For the boys, senior Masen Green, junior Keadon Boze, sophomores Asher Boze, Carson Fishell and Kaz Holum, and freshman Tristan Lekvold are scheduled to make the trip.

Start times for the eight races covering 5,000 meters (3.1 miles) look like this:

• 11 a.m., Class AA girls;

• 11:35 a.m., A girls;

• 12:10 p.m., AA boys;

• 12:40 p.m., A boys;

• 1:10 p.m., B girls;

• 1:45 p.m., C girls;

• 2:20 p.m., B boys;

• 2:50 p.m., C boys. Forty-one Class C teams are scheduled to compete in addition to another 51 schools from the Class AA, A and B ranks.

Prior to the All-Class get-together on the 22nd the Spartans are scheduled to close out the regular season in the Plentywood Invitational Saturday, October 15.
