VOLLEYBALL — A double thumbs up right back at you: The writer of this column (mike) remembers the first time ever hearing a Montana High School Association girls’ volleyball match aired on a radio station. It was back in the late 1980s or early 1990s when the Glasgow Scotties were playing some other team late in the winter season in a postseason tournament in Shelby.The play-by-play announcer was excellent in calling the game, literally having the listener on the edge of their seat.
