Spartans Split On 2-Game Trip–

Scobey Spartans met Saco in the Hinsdale gym last Thursday and although staying out in front the entire game, they barely nosed out the Panthers, 52-50.

Against Chinook Friday, the Sugarbeeters beat the Spartans 34-25.

Former Fire Chief Answers Last Call– Jim McIntyre, 65, longtime resident of Scobey, passed away at the Clinic hospital after an illness brought on by a stroke. He had been a jeweler at the Scobey Drug for nearly 30 years and served as fire chief of the Scobey Department for more than two decades.
