BASKETBALL — POTW: Kortney Nelson (SHS '20) of the Montana State University-Billings Yellow jackets was named last week as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week. In a 73-61 win against 5th-ranked Western Washington University she tallied 16 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 1 blocked shot.

TRACK AND FIELD — Headed to nationals: Martin Farver (SHS '19) of the Dickinson State University Bluehawks recently qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Meet with a solid performance in the 200-meter dash (22.15 seconds) during the Mike Thorson Open in Bismarck. He was also the third leg of the 4x400 relay team placing second in 3:31.77, with MSU-Moorhead just a little bit better at 3:30.41.
