Lustre Christian Qualifies For 1st State C Tourney

Another fourth-quarter comeback, another tourneychampionship trophy, and hopefully one more Saturday night of celebration for the Lustre Christian boys’ basketball team.

The Lions will be making their first-ever appearance in the State C Basketball Tournament after coming from behind Saturday against the Fairview Warriors in the East C Divisional Tournament’s championship game, a 51-50 win.

The victory puts Lustre Christian (1st East, 230, 1450-746, 63.0-32.4) against the Big Sandy Pioneers (2nd North, 19-5, 1569-1168, 65.3-48.6) at 5 p.m. today (Thurs., Mar. 9) in the State C Tournament at First Interstate Bank Arena at MetraPark in Billings.
