MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION ERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD MARCH 6, 7 AND 20, 2023.
REGULAR MEETING
March 6, 9:00 o’clock a.m.
The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Humbert and Lund were present with the clerk.
The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Commissioner Lund made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Humbert seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
Commissioner Humbert made a motion to approve February 2023 minutes. Commissioner Lund seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
The Board approved JV# 8508. The Board reviewed the officer reports for February 2023.
The Board approved payroll for February 2023.
LeeAnn Danelson, Public Health, met with the Board to let them know she would be ordering sunscreen again this year for her wellness programs.
J. Perry Wolfe, agent for MACo Insurance and Lacey Southland met with the Board to discuss insurance for the Whitetail fire trucks. There are two that got missed on the insurance. He also discussed the water contract between the County and the City of Scobey. He is wondering if one of the entities need to be listed on the other’s insurance. He mentioned it needs to be renewed.
Commissioner Lund called Morgan Lekvold, City of Scobey Mayor, to let him know that the contract needs to be reviewed.
The Board recessed for lunch. The Board reconvened after lunch, Commissioners Linder, Humbert and Lund were present with the clerk.
The Board reviewed the final agreement with First Call. The Board authorized the chairman to sign the agreement electronically.
The Board reviewed another request for a signature and approval for an opioid agreement to be signed electronically. The Board put it on hold until the County Attorney can research it further.
The Board reviewed the gas tax maps for 2023. Chairman Linder signed off on the gas tax mileage.
Hope Calkins, Dept. of Revenue, brought in tax addition form #134. Commissioner Humbert approved the treasurer's office sending a new tax form for additional taxes on personal property owned by Abbott Arne Schwindt, Inc.
A person came in regarding making payments on an ambulance bill. The clerk gave him the paper to fill out requesting making payments.
Upon motion, the Board re cessed until March 7, 2023.
