Pioneer Days Start With Friday Night Musical Concerts
The 57th annual Pioneer Days & Antique Show goes live this weekend at Pioneer Town on the western out-skirts of Scobey. The 20-acre site comes to life this Saturday and Sun-day (June 24-25) with all kinds of fun stuff and inter-esting local history being on display.
The event is sponsored by the Daniels County Mu-seum Association.
The pre-show kicks off the weekend Friday, June 23, with live music on the south end of the Pioneer Town grounds when Ti-girlily Gold performs an outdoor concert. This is a sister act originating out of Hazen, North Dakota (northwest of Bismarck). The Sheridan County band Sideways will be the warm-up band kicking off the eve-ning shortly after the gates open at 5:30 p.m. A food wagon and beer garden will be on site. Limited seating is available so concert-goers have the option of bringing one’s own lawn chair. Children 8 and under get in free if accompanied by an adult.
Pioneer Days, portraying early 20th century home-stead life, begins Saturday morning and ends late Sun-day afternoon.
