Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall. REGULAR MEETING

Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with councilmen Scott Fishell, Seth Axtman, Paul Landeraaen and Jon Baker present. Also, in attendance were Emily Rask, Nikki Larson, John Leibrand, Co-Pool Manager Melinda Stentoft, City Attorney Ben Fosland, PWDSteveBerrethandClerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Hearings – Mayor Lekvold opened the following hearings at 8:38 a.m. No written comments were submitted.

• 23-24 Budget – Mayor Lekvold asked for comments concerning the 2023-2024 Budget,hearingnocomments hearing was closed,

•SID#18–MayorLekvold asked for comments concerning SID #18, hearing no comments hearing was closed,

•SID#19–MayorLekvold asked for comments concerning SID #19, hearing no comments hearing was closed,

• Permissive Medical Levy – Mayor Lekvold asked for comments concerning Permissive Medical Levy, hearingnocommentshearing was closed,

• Sewer Rate Increase – Mayor Lekvold asked for comments concerning the Sewer Rate Increase, hearing no comments hearing was closed,

• Penalty Charge on Past Due Accounts – Mayor Lekvold asked for comments concerning a Penalty Charge onPastDueAccountshearing no comments hearing was closed, Mayor Lekvold then closed the Public Hearings at 8:45.

Public Comment – John Leibrand reported he is concerned not all burials are being registered at city hall, the Cemetery District will be discussing solutions.

Public Works Report – PWD Steve Berreth reported:

•The other two slabs (sidewalks) and the rest of the shop apron will be poured today

•Blacktopperswillbehere this week.
