Send Comments To MDT Concerning Speed Limits On Highway 5 Passing Flaxville; & 511 North of Whitetail

In November of 2021, Daniels County submitted a request on behalf of the Mayor and some residents of Flaxville to conduct a speed test on Montana 5 as it passes the Town of Flaxville. They had expressed a desire to reduce the speed limit in that area. A review of the area by Montana Department of Transportation was put in place from mile post 9 and mile post 14.

The MDT recommends no change, but people of the area have the opportunity to submit comments in writing until mid-December (120 days from August 8) to the MDT. Comments along with the Department's final recommendation will be presented to the Montana Department of Transpo...
