BASKETBALL—Firstfourgamesoftheseason: If one is wondering what time the Scobey girls’ and boys’ basketball teams are scheduled to tip-off in the season-opening Miles City Tournament, wonder no longer. On Friday, December 1, the girls do their intial jump ball at 6:30 p.m. and the boys to follow at 8 p.m., with the opponent being the Harlowton Engineers in both games. On Saturday, December 2, at the same tourney the opponent for both Scobey teams are the Garfield County Mustangs based in Jordan, with the girls scheduled for 6 p.m. and the boys 7:30 p.m. On December 8-9 at the Scobey Tip-Off Tournament, on Friday the Spartans host the Froid-Lake Redhawks (girls 4:30 p.m., boys 7:30 p.m.) and on Saturday the Powder River County Hawks of Broadus (girls 3:30 p.m., boys 6:30 p.m.). The first District 3 conference game for the Spartans is in Dodson Friday, December 15, JVG/JVB/VG/VB at 3/4:30/6/7:30 p.m.
