MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD NOVEMBER 6, 7, AND 20, 2023.
REGULAR MEETING
November 6, 9 o’clock a.m.
The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Humbert and Lund were present with the clerk.
The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Chairman Linder swore in Rex A. Morgan Jr., as Deputy Sheriff. Commissioner Lund made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Linder seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
Commissioner Lund made a motion to approve October 2023 minutes. Commissioner Linder seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
Commissioner Humbert contacted Bethany Toews to have the ball park property in Peerless appraised.
The Board approved payroll for October 2023.
The Board reviewed the officer reports for October 2023.
Shawna Lowe, TAC Officer, met with Board to give them an update on what is happening with the remodel. The office doors, the cell door, one light needs to be completed. The radio systems have problems cutting in and out. Brian Mehus with Red Feather Communications gave her an approximate cost of $12,000 to come and check all the repeaters and radios out. The Board asked that she have a written quote.
She would like to discontinue using TriTech Software systems. She feels they aren't worth the money for the service we are receiving.
State Library has been assisting with the new mapping program.
Shawna enrolled into the Prepared for Life program. It is a text-based program that is free of charge for dispatch. She is looking into Virtual Academy for extra training.
