Grace Williams Selected For Youth Tour

Sixteen year-old Scobey High School junior, Grace Williams, was recently selected by Sheridan Electric Cooperative, from seven applicants to attend a Washington, D.C. youth tour. The applicants went through a thorough selection process involving a written essay and interview. She was congratulated by Sheridan Electric Cooperative on outstanding performance in both areas.

She will be among the students attending the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. June 16 through 24th, this summer. She will fly out of Great Falls with other Montana students selected from other rural electric cooperatives.

Every year since the late 1950’s students apply and are selected for this program by their local electric cooperative. We believe that students should see their nation’s capital up close, learn about the political process and interact with their elected officials.
