Meeting To Discuss Possible Special Purpose Fire District

Daniels County Rural Fire Department is wanting to discuss and look into the possibility of forming a fire district to encompassing the entire County and is looking for input from the County fire fighters and the public (affecting mostly rural folks).

There will be a meeting for such discussion on Monday, February 19 at 6:30 in the Nemont Friendship Room at the D.C. Museum Visitor Center.

If a good pros and cons discussion develops, County Fire Chief Neil Holum has hopes they can come out of the meeting with a group that is willing to further investigate the potential benefits of a new district.
