Women’s College Hoops Opheim Grad Carrie Taylor Was One More Win Away From A Natty

The final time Carrie Taylor suited up for the Scobey High School girls’ varsity basketball team was Friday, March 3, 2023.

It was the consolation game of the East C Divisional Tournament in Wolf Point where she and her teammates were 43-39 winners over the Culbertson Cowgirls. After eventual state champion North Country Mavericks defeated Plentywood 46-44 in the championship game, it meant Taylor and her teammates were unable to force a challenge game since the Wildcats were 50-45 winners over the Spartans in the semifinals. Scobey’s season was over.
