Prairie Fire Sweeps Over Large Area–

A grass blaze that started along the G. N. right of way about two miles west of Scobey Monday noon blackened a vast area of prairie to the east and southeast before being stopped by cultivated fields. The breeze, at first slightly south of west, kept the fire confined to the right of way for some distance. It swept west up towards the Herman Forbregd range, then later a change of wind swept across the highway just west of the Tip Top Club three miles east of Scobey.
