City Business . . .

Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with council members Paul Landeraaen,NikiLarson,Seth Axtman and Greg Crowder were present. Also, in attendance were Brian French, Sheriff Clint Lowe, TAC Officer Shauna Lowe, Pool Manager Melinda Stentoft, PWD Steve Berreth, City Attorney Ben Fosland and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

Pool Manager Report – Manager Melinda Stentoft suggested increasing pool fees and hiring additional guards; may be short guards due to requested time off.

Mayor Lekvold suggested readvertising. Six guards will attend training in Plentywood.

Discussed changing the age limit to swim alone - too many younger children are going to the pool with no supervision.

Public Works Report – PWD Steve Berreth:

• Ordered Side-by-Side, Steve noted after last meeting he called to order and found out the 2016 already sold so he ordered the 2010 • Alley grader is about 6 weeks out

• Busy mowing – ordered industrial weed eaters • Pool is filled. Sidewalk and slab project at the park has started

• Maintenance work is being performed on the pivot new tire, band on the pipe etc.
