City Business . . .

Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with council members Niki Larson, Seth Axtman, Brian French present; Greg Crowder were absent. Also, in attendance were Fire Chief Wyatt Wilder, PWD Steve Berreth, Sheriff Clint Lowe, City Attorney Ben Fosland and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

Pool Manager Report – PWD Berreth reported swim lessons have begun and we havebeeninformedWalleyes Unlimited will be paying for lessons again. The guards requested to close the pool July 4th, consensus was to keep the pool open. Mayor Lekvold reported the fire dept wants to host a free will donation feed at the end of the swim meet on the west end. Consensus was to close the street during this time.

Public Works Report – PWD Berreth reported the handicap sign has been installed. Both garbage trucks are running and the crew is street sweeping. Clay Southland has been hired as a temporary laborer to mow when needed.
