Hansen, Hardy, Moran and Rouse Post Perfect Points
With five individual High-Point winners and two pool records being broken, the Scobey Stingrays have plenty to feel good about as the 2024 Montana Federation of Swimmers season is now headed into the postseason.
Up next is the East Divisional Meet in Glendive this weekend (July 20-21) followed by the State Meet in Sidney (July 27-28).
Held right in their home pool at Roseland Park July 13-14, two Scobey girls posted perfect individuals scores of 42 points in three races and both established a new pool record.
Twelve-year-old Siri Moran covered the 50-meter butterfly event in 35.62 seconds during Sunday's finals on a hot and sunny day, her time being even hotter as it goes in the books as a pool record for the 11-12 year old age group. She also placed first in the 200 IM (3:18.16) and 200 freestyle (2:44.58), meaning she was a High-Point Award winner with a perfect score of 42 on her birthday!
The other Scobey girl re-writing the local pool’s record book was 8-year-old Harper Hansen, she, too, posting a perfect tally of 42 points. Her times were 1:54.82 in the 100 IM, 27.72 in the 25 breast stroke and 19.88 in the 25 fly, the latter being a pool record breaker.
