Stockman Go To Dakota To Find Adequate Feed– Daniels County stockmen estimate the local source of hay this year is sufficient for only about half the needs in this area, due to range and hay land conditions caused by early season drouth.

Hay deliveries in Scobey area are receiving from $22 to $30 a ton. Ranchers going to North Dakota have paid $12 a ton for baled hay unloaded, and $20 a ton for first-cutting baled alfalfa.
