GOLF/BASKETBALL — What is the difference, besides one being a male and the other being a female? When Tiger Woods showed up on the Professional Golf Association Tour in 1997 television audiences the year prior averaged 12.4 million viewers. Throughout his first season on the PGA Tour television audiences averaged 20.3 million viewers. That’s an increase of nearly 8 million new viewers from one season to the next, all because of one young man named Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods, who is tied for first in PGA Tour wins and ranks second in men’s championships. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest golfers of all time. Caitlin Clark has done the exact same thing in the Jealous Women’s National Basketball Association (JWNBA).
