The Scobey High School and Junior High cross country programs conducted their first official practices of the 2024 season the usual way, at the earliest possible moment, which was 12 a.m. Friday, August 16.

Let’s just say it was much cooler to start at midnight on the Plainsmen Field 400yard oval track than around 4:30 p.m. when the daytime high temperature was recorded at 82 degrees, which would have been about 16.5 hours later.

The female and male junior high and high school harriers have their first competition set for Friday, August 30, at the Wolf Point Invitational at the Airport Golf Course where the initial junior high race race starts at 10 a.m.
