Gymnastics - Halvorson Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

Halvor Halvorson of Buffalo, Wyoming was earlier this summer inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame for Region 2, which covers Montana, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Around a dozen of his former student athletes showed up in Seattle for his induction.

After graduating from Scobey High School in 1963, Hal shipped off to Eastern Montana College (EMC) in what is now called Montana State University-Billings, to play basketball for the Yellowjackets. He worked out in the offseason and showed up in shape but, try as he may, he was cut from the hoop team.

What to do now? Since he was already in very good shape someone introduced him to gymnastics at EMC.
