Spartans To Host At Pioneer Town, Local Golf Club

There will be a lot of running going on around Pioneer Town and the Scobey Golf Course and those involved will not be taking in a Dirty Shame Show nor chasing golf balls.

Instead, competitors will be chasing first place status, a personal-best time, or a suitable score to help their team in the final standings.

It is the Scobey High School’s cross country program’s invitational meet, scheduled for a 10 a.m. start with the middle school girls first on the docket followed by the middle school boys, varsity girls and varsity boys.

In last week’s action at Poplar nearly all of Scobey’s runners lowered their times from the previous week, which was the season-opening Wolf Point Invitational.
