MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD AUGUST 5, 6, AND 19, 2024.

REGULAR MEETING

August 5, 9 o’clock a.m.

The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Lund, Linder and Thievin were present with the clerk. The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Commissioner Linder made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve July 2024 minutes, Commissioner Linder seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

The Board approved JV#’s 8632–8640.

The Board reviewed the officer reports for July 2024.

The Board approved payroll for July 31, 2024.

Tammi Fladager joined the meeting.

Michael Bergeron, Road Supervisor, met with the Board. Discussed was: hiring the applicant, vehicles, blade use, John Deere 4105 needing an oil cooler, started the mowing in the west part of county, replace transmission in 2006 Chev. Silverado would be $4201.36, could wait until spring. Commissioner Thievin made a motion to purchase an oil cooler for the JD 4105 for $5000.00, Commissioner Linder seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

Commissioner Linder made a motion to hire the new applicant providing the background check and pre-employment drug test, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

The Board reviewed the Airport grant amendment request for AIG 3-30-0068-015-2023, Outlay report and request for reimbursement for Construction for AIP 3-30-30-0068-014-2022 and AIP 3-30-0068-015-2023 and the Airport Federal Financial Report. Commissioner Linder made a motion to approve the aforementioned, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all voted in favor motion passed.

The Board held a hearing on budget voucher appropriation 2024-1. Commissioner Linder made a motion to sign BV20241, Commissioner Lund seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.

Logan Olson, County Attorney, met with the Board to have them review and sign the Public Service Loan forgiveness and temporary expanded public service loan certification and application paperwork. Commissioner Thievin made a motion to sign the paperwork confirming that Logan is still the county attorney, Commissioner Linder seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.
