IT IS ALWAYS A GREAT DAY when the Scobey School student body gets to be present with the many others who attend the annual Veterans Day program in the large gymnasium. The first reason is they learn what Veterans Day is all about — protecting this country’s many freedoms — and the second reason is it makes for an extremely large audience, which is always great to see. A very big audience attended the annual Veterans Day Program in Scobey Monday, November 11, the bulk of them being the entire student body (K-12) of the Scobey School and its personnel.

Held in the Scobey School large gym, the annual event was kicked off with the welcome by local Veteran Matt Stentoft, who also recognized the Veterans in the audience and later introduced the event’s guest speaker, James Obergfell of Plentywood.

After the Scobey High School band performed, the Pledge of Allegiance was observed. ...
