Three straight days, three straight games, three straight victories for the Scobey varsity girls’ basketball team last week, meaning their conference and overall record has successfully climbed over the .500 mark.

The Spartans are now looking to maintain the upward trek this weekend when traveling to Dodson Friday, January 24, for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off and hosting a very good Circle team the next afternoon in Scobey at 4 p.m. In the first go-round the Spartans, on their home court, defeated Dodson 5311. The next day at Circle the Scobey girls were on the short end of a 49-38 final score but, after trailing 39-29, closed within 40-38 with two minutes left in regulation, so expect a tight contest Saturday night.

The Spartans began the three games in three days action by traveling to Frazer Thursday, January 16, a contest originally scheduled for Friday, January 10, but slick roads led to a postponement.

It was somewhat close for one half as the Spartans led 22-15 and 37-26 after the first two quarter breaks but things changed in the third frame. Scobey outscored the Be...
