If one is wondering what the difference was in Saturday’s Circle at Scobey girls’ basketball game, topping the list was free throws, those made by one team and those missed by the other.

The visiting Wildcats drained 20-of-22 for 90.9 percent while the Spartans made 12-of-26 for 46.1 percent.

Here’s another couple of numbers: 52-42, which Circle won by.

In the first half the Spartans were playing like they were going to win this thing. Madeline Moline hit a pair of free throws for a quick 2-0 Circle lead but a pair of interior buckets by Kaytie Aanstad, a 3-pointer by Kennadi Cromwell and three free throws by Kayla Carney made it 10-3 home team.

After the Wildcats tied it at 10, Cromwell drained another 3-ball and Avery Wolfe made a fast-break layup just before the buzzer to end the opening 8 minutes of action.
