MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD JANUARY 6, 7, AND 21, 2025.
REGULAR MEETING
January 6, 9 o’clock a.m.
The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Thievin and Fladager were present with the clerk.
The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed.
Commissioner Fladager made a motion to nominate Commissioner Linder to chairman of the Board for the 2025 calendar year, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
Commissioner Fladager made a motion to nominate Commissioner Thievin vice-chairman of the Board for the 2025 calendar year, Commissioner Linder seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
Commissioner Thievin made a motion to approve December 2024 minutes, Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed. The Board reviewed Resolution 2025-1, setting the commissioner’s meeting days for calendar year 2025. Commissioner Thievin made a motion to pass Resolution 2025-1, Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all voted in favor, motion passed. The Board reviewed Resolution 2025-2, setting the travel and per diem rates for calendar year 2025. The Board decided to change the supper meal reimbursement from $18.00 to $20.00. Commissioner Thievin made a motion to pass Resolution 2025-2, Commissioner Fladager seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
The Board reviewed Resolution 2025-3, setting the incarceration rates for calendar year 2025. Commissioner Fladager made a motion to pass Resolution 2025-3, Commissioner Thievin seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
The Board reviewed an email from Rodney Nelson asking if the county had any other funding lined up for the replacement of Lovell Bridge. The Board asked the clerk to respond to the email telling him that no other funding has been lined up for the replacement of Lovell Bridge.
The Board approved payroll for December 2024, dated January 2, 2025.
The Board approved JV#’s 8666–8667.
The Board reviewed the officer reports from the Justice Court, Clerk of District Court, Clerk and Recorder, and Treasurer for December 2024, and the Sheriff report from October-December 2024.
