Flaxville Water Lines Freezing

The Town of Flaxville has been experiencing freezing issues with new water service lines in its new system.

In a memo from the engineers dated February 24— In the summer of 2024, there were approximately 7,400 feet of new water main and nearly 60 new water services installed from the main to the curb stop. Additional valves and hydrants were also installed. The work began in June and substantially completed by August 9, 2024. The new water main installed ranged from 6” to 10” diameter, an increase from a few mains that were 4”.
