City Business . . .

 

Taken from the unapproved minutes and reporter’s notes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.

REGULAR MEETING Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with councilmembers Niki Larson, Brian French, and Greg Crowder present. Councilman Axtman was absent. Greg Lukasik, P.E., and Tyler Burns with Great West Engineering, Fire Chief Wyatt Wilder, PWD Steve Berreth, Sheriff Clint Lowe, Dispatch TAC Officer Shaunna Lowe, and Clerk Sonya M. Southland also attended.

Public Works

• PWD Berreth reported that the inside of the shop has been tinned, and the bathroom and wiring are being completed.

• Crew is sweeping streets and blading alleys.

• PWD wants to purchase a tool cabinet for $2,200 at Costco to install in the new shop; this set not available locally.

• Paul and Steve will attend water/wastewater training in Culbertson on April 8.

• The Bulk Water Station is back online – had to switch over to internet connections instead of phone lines and upgrade software.

Zoning – No report. Next meeting will be scheduled for April. Reminder: If you have summer projects, now is the time to submit your zoning application. Obtain your permits before you start construction.

Study Commission Report — Council was presented with the draft minutes from the last Study Commission meeting. Next regular Study Commission meeting is scheduled for April 9, 2025.
