BASKETBALL — Let’s hear it for the referees: Judging by the turnout, the 3rd annual Junior Referee Clinic in Fairfield, Montana Saturday, March 22, was another huge success, with 41 girls and boys in grades 6-12 registered with 36 in attendance. Next year’s 4th annual event is set for Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Fairfield High School. The 2025 clinic was taught by 11MontanaOfficialsAssociation(MOA)memberswho led an intensive, interactive clinic, walking the aspiring refereesthroughthefundamentalsofgamemechanics, court positioning and effective communications, all essential tools in becoming a competent and confident official.
