The weather was nearly perfect for the 10th annual Independence Bank/ Nemont Golf Scramble held Saturday, June 5, at the Scobey Golf Course, although some would say drop 10-15 degrees off the temp and no wind would be perfect.

For Mike Kilgore, Nicoli Lund, Tanner Trower and Jason Wolfe, the final standings were just perfect as they captured first place by less than one net stroke.

The 26-team field of 104 golfers enjoyed an 81-degree temperature at the 9 a.m. shotgun start, 85 degrees by 12 noon and 91 by 4 p.m. with a west wind cooling things off just a tad bit (doubtful!), the latter also aiding a few tee shots off No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6.

The winners fired a gross 12-under-par 60 and once their 11.46 handicap was eliminated they had a net 48.54.

The runnersup of Riley Gaustad, Ryan Rasmussen, Garth Roe and Brock Schriver shot a 59 gross and 46.47 net.
