Commissioners Vote “No” On Special Election For Local Marijuana Business
Tuesday, August 3 Daniels County Commissioners voted (Commissioners Humbert and Linder 2 to Lund 1), against holding a special election concerning allowing recreational marijuana businesses to operate in the County.
The vote Tuesday, was only whether to hold a special election and bring it to the people to decide. A special election would cost the County approximately $7,000 - $7,770.
Medical marijuana falls into another category.
The question and request was presented by Adam Carney of Peerless and business partner Brandon Hoerner of Glasgow.
They have been preparing for a marijuana cultivation grow center in the old Peerless School, owned by Carney.
