BOARD OF TRUSTEES SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA

REGULAR MEETING Open Session: October 11, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Music Room MembersPresent: Jesse Cole, Tim Tande, Leif Handran, Matt Stentoft and DuWayne Wilson Administrative Staff Present: Greg Hardy, Superintendent;

Caitlin Buer, Principal; Colleen Drury, District Clerk

Others Present: Abby Willis, Whitley Maher, Marlys Farver, Shalice Maldonado, Sean Cromwell, Trevor Manternach and Adam Christie Chairman Jesse Cole called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll was taken and it was established that a quorum was present.

Chairman Cole recognized Patrons & Visitors. Marlys Farver spoke regarding her perception that our grades and Honor roll student lists were not in agreement with low test scores. She feels that Scobey School teachers aren’t teaching enough. Board and Administration replied to our above state average scores, how we are monitoring this and also to our exceptional staff. Adam Christie wanted to know why Scobey Schools wasn’t sending students to the Dickinson music festival – it was being left to parents. He also would like clarification as to why above state average is OK.
