The Big Dark Sky by Dean Koontz is part thriller, part sci-fi, part horror/supernatural and probably a bit of other genres, it nevertheless had an underlying sense of optimism. It all centers around a ranch in Montana and Koontz beautifully captures the essence of the trees and mountains. It’s a story about dreams and lost childhoods and odd connections.
