MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD APRIL 3, 4, AND 17, 2023.
REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 3, 9:00 o’clock a.m.
The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Linder, Humbert and Lund were present with the clerk. The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Commissioner Humbert made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Lund seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
Commissioner Lund made a motion to approve March 2023 minutes. Commissioner Humbert seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
Kristy Jones, Clerk and Recorder, presented Resolution 2023-7, setting commissioner districts. The resolution leaves the commissioner districts as previously described. It was determined that the 2020 census did not create a difference in population to require the boundaries be changed. Commissioner Lund made a motion to approve resolution 2023-7, Commissioner Humbert seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed. Resolution 2023-7 was given to the District Court Clerk to have Judge Cybulski approval.
Kristy Jones, Clerk and Recorder, presented Resolution 2023-8, setting the voting precinct boundaries. The resolution leaves the precinct boundaries as previously described. The redistricting of the state house and senate districts did not affect Daniels County as the county remains as a whole unit in both the house and senate districts. Commissioner Humbert made a motion to approve resolution 20238, Commissioner Lund seconded the motion, all present voted in favor, motion passed.
The Board approved JV#s 8523 and 8524.
The Board reviewed the officer reports for March 2023.
The Board approved payroll for March 2023.
Logan Olson, County Attorney, met to discuss the final draft of the County Investment Policy.
