BIRD HUNTING — Campgrounds/hotel/motel are busy: On Tuesday, August 30, while driving around the northeastern part of Daniels County it was noticed the Whitetail Fire Department's trailer park/ campground was full of bird hunters and their dogs. On Thursday, September 7, it was decided to take a drive around Scobey and count how many bird hunters were spread out around the city. The search started at 12:45 p.m. and ended at 1:03 p.m. First drive-by was at the Scobey Golf Course's campground on the west end of the 9-hole layout. There were six campers there. Next was the Daniels County Fairgrounds and the count of campers came to 10 (with one tent set up). Then it was over to the Scobey Lions Club campground along Railroad Avenue across the street from the Daniels County Sheriff Department where there were 10.
