Larsen Named To Succeed Leibrand on City Council–

H. P. Larsen, Scobey implement and lumber dealer, was appointed to fill the vacancy on the city council created when Ed Leibrand, long-time member resigned for reasons of ill health. Less Than 5 Percent Of 1948 Taxes Left Unpaid– Daniels County taxpayers opened their pocketbooks wider this year than last, the county treasurer reports less than five percent of the 1948 taxes remained unpaid.

Personal property taxes collected this year total $19,791.51, $4,932.38 was picked up in delinquent collections, while owners of motor vehicles turned in $39,884.68, including ...
