Spartans Still Undefeated After Non-3C Victory Versus Wolves

The zero at the end of the Scobey boys’ basketball team’s 2023-24 season remains intact following Friday’s 60-37 non-conference victory over visiting Wolf Point.

The triumph over the Class B Wolves means the Spartans’ win total has reached 13 with five games remaining in the regular season before shipping off to Glasgow for 3C tourney time.

The initial dozen minutes of the contest, which tipped off three minutes ahead of schedule at 7:27 p.m., was as tight as it could get.

Wolf Point senior Peyton Summers hit a 3-point field goal for the initial advantage but the Spartans responded with a 9-0 scoring run. Kolten Machart started it with a 2-point field goal and ended it by kissing a shot off the glass with Bram Handran’s 3-pointer and offensive- rebound putback in the middle.
