City Business . . .

Taken from the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting of City Council, City of Scobey, Montana held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall.

REGULAR MEETING Mayor Morgan Lekvold called the meeting to order with council members Niki Larson, Greg Crowder and Paul Landeraaen present. Councilman Axtman was absent. Also, in attendance were BrianFrench,FireChief Wyatt Wilder, PWD Steve Berreth and Clerk Sonya M. Southland.

Public Hearing – Mayor Lekvold opened the public hearing and asked for comments concerning eligible project ideas to apply for the State-Local Infrastructure Act (HB 355).

Hearing no public comment Mayor Lekvold discussed the four projects proposed so far are street maintenance, fire hall roof, parkimprovementsincluding baseball fields, and/or finish the new shop with heating, electrical walls etc.

With no public comment Mayor Lekvold closed the meeting.

Zoning Administrator Report –March 13, 2024 is the next scheduled zoning commission meeting.

Fire Chief Report – Fire Chief Wyatt reported the department is researching the cost of new metal racks to hang turn out gear. Also discussed replacing the fire hall roof, having the project engineered to add a pitched roof and creating more space.
