Different Kind Of July 4th Planned–

July 4th, as has been the case almost without interruption, every year since it was founded, Scobey will celebrate the anniversary of American Independence.

Events begin at 10 a.m. when the high school band will play musical numbers in between which Louis Bryant will play popular and semi-classical selections on his piano accordion, at intermission various individuals will make brief comments on America and the duties of citizenship.

Program at fairground starts at 1 p.m. with prize events for the kids. Major items of entertainment will be the Two-Mile Jalopy Sweepstakes open to car models of 1935 or older. Immediately following will be the big ball game between Flaxville and Scobey.

That night an exhibition horseshoe game is planned on main street. Added...
