MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD MAY 6, 7, 20, 2024.

REGULAR MEETING

May 6, 9 o’clock a.m.

The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Lund and Linder were present with the clerk. Commissioner Humbert attended by zoom.

The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Commissioner Linder made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Lund seconded the motion, motion passed.

Commissioner Linder made a motion to approve March 2024 minutes, Commissioner Lund seconded the motion, two voted in favor, Commissioner Humbert abstained, motion passed.

The Board approved payroll for April 30, 2024.

The Board approved JV #’s 8609-8614.

The Board reviewed the officer reports for April 2024.

The Board reviewed the procurement and notice to proceed with Contech Engineered Solutions LLC for fabricated roadway bridge for Coal Creek Road. Commissioner Linder made a motion to sign the procurement and notice to proceed, Commissioner Lund seconded the motion, motion passed.

The Board reviewed the asbestos inspection quote from Ingraham Environmental Inc. Commissioner Linder made a motion to accept the quote, Commissioner Humbert seconded the motion, motion passed.

The Board reviewed the Communications Site Lease Agreement with Montana-Dakota Utilities for use of the Flaxville Tower Site for $9600.00 per year beginning July 1, 2025. Commissioner Humbert made a motion to sign said agreement, Commissioner Linder seconded the motion, motion passed.

The Clerk informed the Board that she published the notice for the bids for the Senior Citizens meals.

Teiler Fishell, lead health officer, met with the Board to present the draft PHEP task order for approval. She gave the Board of Health report, they tabled the immunization memorandum of understanding with the Daniels Memorial Hospital. They started working on the strategic plan and the workforce grant will be $30,000.00 less for fiscal year 2025. She attended an on-line tabletop exercise on food borne illness.

Commissioner Lund made a motion to approve the PHEP task order 25-07-6-11-015-0, Commissioner Linder seconded the motion, motion passed.

Teilor requested permission to hire ShaAnn Danelson as a SAIL instructor. She qualified as an instructor when the program was run through the hospital and then the Daniels County Health Department took it over. The Board approved her being hired.

The Board approved claims dated April 30, 2024.

It was brought to the Board’s attention that the three quarters of a mile on the paved road past Peerless has a big pothole.
