MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DANIELS COUNTY, MONTANA, HELD JUNE 4, 5 AND 17, 2024.
REGULAR MEETING
June 4, 9 o’clock a.m.
The Board met in regular session, Commissioners Lund and Linder were present with the clerk. Commissioner Humbert absent. The meeting was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Commissioner Linder made a motion to approve the agenda, Commissioner Lund seconded, motion passed.
Commissioner Linder made a motion to approve May 2024 minutes, Commissioner Lund seconded, motion passed.
The Board approved payroll for May 31, 2024.
The Board approved JV #’s 8617-8620.
The Board reviewed the officer reports for May 2024.
Michael Bergeron, Road Supervisor, met with the Board to discuss various matters. He is requesting the purchase of an engine for approximately $2,634.49 for the chevy 1 ton spray pickup and purchase a push blade for a motor grader for $10,500. Commissioner Linder made a motion to approve the purchases, Commissioner Lund seconded, motion passed.
The Board signed the contracts with Rose and Marie’s, Flaxville LDC, and the Daniels Memorial Healthcare center for the congregate and home delivered meals.
Roger Rasmussen, Solid Waste Board member, met with the Board wondering when the check for the purchase of the truck and containers was going to be processed plus other matters regarding the transfer station.
The Board recessed for lunch. The Board reconvened after lunch, Commissioners Lund and Linder were present with the clerk. Commissioner Humbert was absent.
A.J. Allen, tobacco specialist, met with the Board to give an update on his program and that he will to be here for the fair.
Lee Hinkley, Ambulance, met with the Board regarding delinquent accounts, quote for defibrillator stand on cot safety arm system that is $3,700.00.
Mary Nyhus, DES Coordinator, met with the Board to inform them of the diesel spill from Cromwell’s tank.
